I challenged myself this past week to wear a “fashion blogger” outfit every day. My word has a pretty casual dress code so it’s very easy for me to fall into the trap of just wearing a sweater, leggings, and boots. I wanted to dress up so that I could take a picture every day before work and have them be up to my blogging standards.
Last weekend I went on a shopping trip because I wanted to add more pastel “spring” colors to my wardrobe. I ended up going to Target and Nordstrom Rack. (In my town the two stores are right next to each other because someone was a genius with planning). I was really excited to share with all of you what I bought and I couldn’t think of a better way than a “what I wore this week” post. I documented what I wore each day and in this post have shared with you why I wore it and what I paired it with.
MONDAY

I have had my eye on this Marley Lily monogram pullover for awhile now and it finally went on sale last week! Yay for sales! I have always been a sucker for monogram pieces ever since I got my first monogram necklace from Etsy. This pullover is made of super soft cotton and it felt like I was wearing a cozy sweatshirt all day. I decided to go for the “I’m way to tried to dress up today” look and wear my pullover with leggings and sneakers. Perfect outfit for a Monday.
TUESDAY
I shared this sweater with you all in my color of the year blog post. This front tie sweater is from Target and amazingly soft. If you didn’t know already I will buy anything that is soft and looks like it will keep me warm (because I am ALWAYS cold). This sweater comes in a variety of colors and can easily be paired with neutral color jeans. I opted in for light was distressed skinny jeans because it really made the color of the sweater stand out. My bag is also from Target, part of their A New Day collection. I use this little bag so often because I don’t always need to carry my giant tote bag full of everything with me.
WEDNESDAY
Okay, this sweater from Topshop is the one I was most excited to show you guys. I bought this at Nordstrom Rack for 50% off the original price. I found a “New Arrivals” rack in the store and that is basically where I got everything. It is just like my favorite BP sweater that has the open-dot pattern down the middle of the sweater and on the sleeves. I wore this sweater out to dinner for my dads birthday and he jokingly asked if I was supposed to thread a shoelace through the holes (lol, no dad). The sweater is a light pastel pink color that is perfect for spring. I paired it with my most comfortable pair of blue skinny jeans and heeled boots from Charlotte Russe.
THURSDAY
This outfit is my “we had a meeting at work and I wanted to look put together” look. This sweater is also from the brand I love, BP. They make the softest clothing. I felt like I was wearing a blanket all day. I paired it with my black skinny jeans from Target and my favorite black loafers from Lord and Taylor. This “Gucci” belt I got from this Amazon listing, and I wear it all the time and people love it! Besides from the loafers being tight on my feet because I forgot to stretch the leather out, I was very comfortable all day.
FRIDAY
I was really excited to wear this top because the sleeves are SO much fun! It felt like I was part of a parade all day waving my arms around. I found this top by accident in the store. I was trying on all the clothing I was going to get and this top was left in the dressing room by someone else. It was so cute that I tried it on and loved it! I tucked the top into white jeans and wore it with black ankle booties.
This was fun week of putting together outfits and being excited about what I am going to wear each day. I will defiantly be writing more posts like this because it was so much fun to take pictures every day.
Your outfits were on point this week! Absolutely love how they’re both cozy and full of fun details. And I’m currently on the hunt for a pair of loafers and I’m loving yours!
Thanks girl! It took me forever to find the perfect black loafers. Mine I bought online at Lord and Taylor!
Oh my days!
