It is officially the month of December and for a lot of people that means it’s time to put up the Christmas tree and start shopping for gifts. I had my Christmas tree decorated and stockings hung the week before Thanksgiving. Solely because I love how cozy my apartment gets with all the lights! I struggled to come up with a list of things I wanted for Christmas this year but it was very easy for me to put together a post about coziest items you all could put on your list or give to someone! I found some items below that are a mix of items I already own and some items I put on my list for this year!
As soon as the weather starts to get cold, I switch my wardrobe over to my winter clothing. I got out my knit sweaters, chunky scarves, and collection of fun pajama bottoms. Sweaters are always a good thing to put on your list for Christmas because you can never have too many! I am also a firm believer that one should have several pairs of fun pajama pants. Old Navy has fun and festive PJ bottoms that have snowmen, polar bears, trees, and many more fun prints. Even though UGG boots are seen as a clique winter item that is *basic* I love wearing them. They keep my feet warm and are easy to wear with fuzzy socks and leggings. Finally, the fuzzy fleece pullover is my FAVORITE! I wear it all the time because of how warm and comfortable I feel.
Having accessories that will keep you warm will make a big difference in not only your comfort level but also your outfit. The right accessories will keep you safe from the elements outside as well as make your outfit cuter. This time of year I love to wear big chunky blanket scarves with every outfit. They are cute and acceptable to wear to work! Every year for Christmas my mom gets me a couple new pairs so fuzzy socks. Some solid colors, some with fun prints and animals on them, and some that will even help moisturize your feet! I put on my fuzzy socks the second I get home from work. They are my number one cozy accessory. I also just got into the habit of wearing comfy slippers around my apartment. I am always cold so it is good to have an extra layer of warmth surrounding my feet. Since it’s winter, it goes without saying that outdoor scarves, gloves, and hats are always great Christmas gifts.
COMFORTING HOME GOODS
So now that we covered all the basics items that will keep you warm and cozy all winter long, it’s time to talk about the most important items. The items you decorate your home can make your home the coziest place in the world. The term Hygge come to my mind, which is all about living a comfortable and cozy lifestyle that will bring you peace and serenity. That is what I strive to do in my apartment. I want the place I live to be the most welcoming, warm, and comfortable place where I can relax and unwind. My couch is filled with numerous cozy blankets and pillows that will make you want to lay down and take a nap. I also have a variety of different smelling candles to help set the mood. This time of year I like warm cinnamon or sugar cookie candles that make the air smell like it’s Christmas day. On my Christmas list this year, I also have cute mugs to drink hot chocolate out of, books to read on snowy days, or bath soaps to use when I want to relax.
Having cozy clothing and living in a comfortable apartment is a necessity for me. I need to live in a place that is warm and inviting, where people feel at ease when they walk through the door. That is the reason I named my blog Cozy Stylist. Because living a cozy lifestyle is that important to me. The items on my list may seem very simple but that’s the beauty of creating a cozy life. It’s not hard, you just need basic items like blankets, candles, good books, a comfy sweater, fuzzy socks, and maybe a kitty or puppy to cuddle up with!
I hope my list has inspired you to put some of these items on your Christmas list so that you can create your own cozy wardrobe or living space. Or maybe you know someone like me who just loves all things warm and comfy to give some of these items to for Christmas!
