Valentines Day is right around the corner so it’s time to start planning out what you’re going to wear! No matter if you are married, in a relationship, or single it’s important to dress up for the fun and loving holiday! This year Valentines Day is on a Thursday, a work day and that means that most of our day will be spent eating chocolate and other sweets with our coworkers. I have my outfit all planned out for what I am going to wear to work that day. Hint: it involved a lot of red and pink! When the work day is over it’s time to change into a different outfit for date night. That date night could be a nice romantic dinner with your significant other or a drink night with your best friends. No matter where you’re going, you’re going to need a cute and simple outfit to celebrate. Below are some of my go-to Valentine’s Day outfits.
WORK OUTFIT
I am honestly more excited to wear my Valentine’s Day work outfit than I am for my dinner outfit. I love dressing up for holidays at work because it’s all for fun and there’s no pressure to look sexy or perfect. This year I am planning on wearing the items below. A blush pink blazer over top of a long sleeve leopard button-down shirt and black trousers. I’m also going to wear white flats so that I incorporate all the colors of the holiday. The outfit will match perfectly with the pink heart cookies that I’m going to bring in for our office dessert table. Other work outfits you can wear for this holiday is a red sweater with pink pants, a white dress with a pink cardigan and black boots, or a pink blazer over top of a printed dress.
DATE NIGHT OUTFIT
If Valentine’s Day means that you’ll be spending the night with your other half by going out to a nice romantic dinner, you’re going to have to have the outfit to wear! Since the holiday takes place in the middle of winter, I am choosing to wear a long sleeve burgundy top tucked into a pink flowy midi skirt. The skirt is meant for summer weather, but I’ll wear tights underneath so that I won’t be too cold. If you want to get a little more dressed up you can wear a statement dress in red or pink, paired with heels and your best pair of earrings to bring some bling to the outfit. If you want to wear a cozier outfit, I would opt in for a long white sweater dress and boots. You can simply add red lipstick to complete your look.
DRINKS WITH YOUR FRIENDS OUTFIT
Ready to celebrate Galentine’s Day with your best girlfriends? You’re going out to a local bar and want to look cute, but you have no idea what to wear? You don’t have to buy a completely new outfit, just look in your closet for a simple dress and heels. A white or pink dress is perfect for Valentine’s Day and since it is still winter, you may want to add a black or red cardigan to wear over-top of the dress. Throw your phone and wallet into a cute floral clutch bad and you are ready to go out and have some drinks with your friends!
COZY NIGHT IN OUTFIT
If you’re opting in for a cozy night in watching movies with your S.O or your furry friend, there are some festive but comfortable options that you can wear. Below are some looks from Target that are all about xoxo, wine, or kisses. Those can be in the form of cute pajama sets or t-shirts. Like the look below a simple t-shirt, leggings, and fuzzy socks can make you the coziest person there. Just add in a glass of wine, a box of chocolates, and your favorite movie to have the best Valentine’s Day without having to leave the house.
What will you be wearing this Valentines Day?
