During the Fall, the weather gets colder and that mean’s that it’s time to put away the open toed sandals and bring out the boots! Ankle boots, knee high, and thigh high boots are the shoe to wear all season long and I am so excited that it’s time to wear them again. I wish I could say that I own those types of boots in every color but sadly I do not. The classic brown boot is my go to color and ankle boots are my favorite style to wear. I especially love to wear boots that have a slight heel to them so that I appear taller.
The great things about these styles of boots is that you can wear them for every occasion. For a casual look, you can wear ankle or mid-calf boots with jeans and a cute sweater. For a work look, grab a pair of heeled boots and pair it with a sweater dress and skin colored tights. A going out with your friends look can be a pair of thigh-high boots with a button up skirt and blouse.
Boots With Jeans
The easiest way to wear your boots this season is to tuck your skinny jeans into them. This look works for knee-high boots and over the knee boots. If you want to wear ankle booties, try rolling up the ends of your jeans for a cropped look. Light wash jeans will pair nicely with dark-colored boots, while dark wash jeans would look nice against more tan colored boots. Wear these pieces with a cute knit sweater or with a t-shirt and cardigan.
Boots With Dresses
An easy way to transition your summer look into fall is to wear boots with dresses! Wear a darker color floral dress with knee-high brown boots or ankle boots for a cute date night look. When the weather starts to get colder, pair a sweater dress with OTK boots. You could even wear leggings to tights underneath so that your legs are not freezing.
Boots With Skirts
For a fun and flirty look, pair a mini or midi skirt with brown boots. If you have a leather mini skirt in your closet, try wearing over the knee boots with it to make your legs look like they are a mile long. If you want to wear a more modest skirt that covers your knees, try pairing the piece with ankle booties with a heel. Each of these looks would look fashionable with a t-shirt tucked into the skirt or a thin thermal sweater with a plaid scarf. My favorite look is wearing a black t-shirt tucked into my long leopard print skirt and wearing tan ankle boots with it.
Boots With Shorts
If you live in a warm-weather state where the fall season is still above 70 degrees, try wearing your brown boots with shorts. For a more country look, you can wear a plaid button-down top with white shorts and brown boots. If you want to look more dressed up, try wearing a cute blouse with linen shorts and ankle booties.
