During the winter months, you spend most of your time inside so you need your home to be the coziest place that it can be. As soon as I even hear the word “winter,” it makes me want to put on a chunky knit sweater and wrap myself in a heated blanket. Cozy vibes over everything! I own a bunch of fuzzy socks and many different colors and patterns of plush throws. I also love blankets, sweaters, slippers, pillows, and more. These products make it hard to ever leave the house during the cold months.
During the winter, it might feel especially important to make sure your living space is nice and cozy. The cold, dark months can get pretty bleak after a while, so you want to have your home equipped with items that make you feel warm and happy. I am a sucker for nice throw blankets and have over 10 of them around my house draped over furniture. There is also so many soft pillows on my couch that you can barely see the cushions.
All it takes is little touches here and there to really transform a space. That’s the basis of the popular Danish secret to happiness: Hygge. Adding some decorative pillows, a throw blanket, and a lamp can add a lot of personality to a room and help create an environment that feels welcoming and relaxing for you and your family. There are simple things that you can do to make your home a cozier place and the below products are some of my personal recommendations for a cozy home.
On my bed pictured above, I have a down alternative comforter that keeps us warm all winter long. It’s made with a mixture of down feathers and a polyester fill that keeps in heat in. I also have a multiple throw pillows that are a mix of different textures. The oversized white plush pillows are my favorite. Every night I turn on my Himalayan salt lamp which adds a lovely pink glow to the room and so does having a nice smelling candle.
If you want your home to smell nice but don’t want to have an candle out in the open, a wax melt is perfect for you. Also, some of my favorite cozy home items are a faux sheepskin rug and a heated blanket. My cats love all the blankets that I have throughout our home. They have beds in every room they go into!
