The weather is cold outside so, we all may as well stay inside all bundled up drinking a cup of hot chocolate. Last year on Christmas Day, my family made the most delicious homemade hot chocolate recipe that cooked for 2 hours in the crockpot. It was creamy, sweet, and just the right amount of chocolate.
This 5-ingredient recipe is super easy to make because chances are, you already have 3 of the ingredients in your kitchen! There is always milk in my fridge and chocolate chips and vanilla extract in my baking cabinet. So when you’re at the grocery store next time, pick up some heavy cream and a can of condensed milk so that you can cook this tasty drink!
Since this recipe is made in the slow cooker, it’s convenient for a large family or holiday get together a party that serves many people. This recipe serves around 8-10 people so if you are having more people than that over to your house, just double the recipe! Drinking this is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit! This year, I’m going to make this so my family has something to drink while we’re decorating the Christmas tree!
Set up a fun buffet style toppings bar for people to customize their drink. You could have whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate sauce, cinnamon, candy canes, or more!
